On April 2nd, an exceptional event took place in Sofia, bringing together over 60 entrepreneurs, managers, and professionals hungry for knowledge, transformation, and growth. The special guests and speakers were two remarkable visionaries – Paolo Ruggeri and Andrea Turrini.
Paolo Ruggeri is the creator of the Open Source Management (OSM) methodology, which focuses on sustainable business management. He currently oversees more than 25 companies, although he personally leads only a handful of projects. In addition to his entrepreneurial instinct and ventures, he has built a name for himself as an outstanding speaker, business mentor, and author of several books dedicated to leadership development, people management, and unlocking full human potential, while emphasising the importance of principles and ethics in creating a thriving business, team, and entrepreneur.
On this April day, Paolo delivered a training session that will echo in the minds of the attendees for a long time. With unmatched energy, practicality, and passion, he guided the audience through topics such as:
- How to position yourself for success – through value creation, personal accountability, goal clarity, and approach to collaborators
- How to develop people within your team using stimulating career plans
- How to attract champions and build a SUPER team that delivers results
- How to delegate effectively and free up valuable time – a key to entrepreneurial freedom
With his clear and structured management approach, Paolo reminded everyone that business is not merely a system of processes, but a field for the development of people, culture, and value. Inspiring, authentic, and with a clear mission – to create leaders who transform the world around them. Leaders who know how to attract the right people and, shoulder to shoulder, achieve their boldest dreams and business goals.
The day also offered a broader perspective on what it means to be an active and responsible part of society. Andrea Turrini’s message – that no entrepreneur should be alone – will resonate through time and space.
In a shorter yet deeply impactful talk, Andrea Turrini – co-founder of the Italian non-profit association “Entrepreneur, You Are Not Alone” (Imprenditore Non Sei Solo) – spoke about the main reasons businesses face difficulties, and how in Italy, a group of conscientious entrepreneurs and professionals voluntarily work with heart and soul to empower struggling business owners with knowledge and practical tools to turn things around. Their efforts have brought significant contributions back to the Italian economy and emphasised each individual’s responsibility to offer support whenever possible. He reminded us that behind every business failure is a person – with dreams, efforts, and a family – and that each person is a drop in the ocean, capable of changing the whole ocean with a single action.
Andrea also shared details about the initiative that has been active in Italy since 2018, founded by Paolo Ruggeri and recognised as a non-profit association in 2021. Their goal within three years: to establish a presence in every Italian region and support a total of 10,000 entrepreneurs. In doing so, he planted the seed of opportunity in Bulgaria as well – for anyone who identifies with the universal idea of offering help, improving business conditions, and returning entrepreneurs to the heart of the economy.
Andrea is also the author of a unique pocket guide to business management, Easy Management, which was specially translated into Bulgarian for the event and gifted to each participant. Practical, accessible, and extremely useful, it stands as further proof that great ideas can – and should – be presented in a simple, understandable, and applicable way.
Also present was Ivan Zorzetto, Managing Director of OSM Europe and the Middle East, and author of the book Leading Through Emotions, whose steadfast support, guidance, and courage are of great importance to the international growth of OSM, including in Bulgaria.
At the end of the day, while the excitement of the lectures still filled the room, all three speakers took time to connect personally – to talk with every attendee, offer individual advice, take photos, and sign books with personal messages. These were moments of genuine connection and energy transfer – from the stage straight to the heart.
